Hi there! I’m Julianna and I’m so glad that you are here.

I am 22 years old and currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. I moved here from the golden state of California, my home for most of my life, back in August 2016.  Some days I still feel like I’ve barely got my footing in this new city of mine, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Atlanta has been quickly capturing my heart from the moment I got here.

My story, like all of ours, is anything but neat. I graduated in 2016 with a degree in biology from UCLA but am currently pursuing a second degree in nursing here in Atlanta. I have always found great joy in taking care of others and am so excited to have found a career that fits that so well.

I previously wrote a blog for about six years primarily about health and fitness. I started writing when I was in the depths of a period over exercising and under eating. And, like most girls, high school and the beginning of college was a time that I was hyperfocused on my appearance and hated my body. I am so thankful to say that I am far from that these days. I still love health and fitness, but for different reasons now. And I am incredibly passionate about being kind to your body, finding ways of movement that you love, and feeding your body & your soul with foods that satisfy you. So you’ll probably hear a little bit more about that around here!

A few more things you should know…

The outdoors are my happy place. Feeling small in this beautiful world of ours is one of my favorite feelings in the whole world.

I’m seriously addicted to coffee and have no plans of changing that anytime soon. I probably drink 3-4 cups a day but right now in nursing school there are bigger problems than being over caffeinated. Peet’s coffee is my favorite and I’m waiting for the day they come to Georgia.

I love to lift weights and my CrossFit gym keeps me sane when I’m not studying. I’m humbled every time I walk in the door of the gym and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Mexican food and margaritas are probably my favorite food group. (Yes, margaritas are definitely a food group).

I’m a person that is easily excited about the little things in life. You’ll probably hear me proclaim that “this is the best ____ ever!!” a lot. Because to me at the time, it really is!

I’m a compulsive over-sharer, I throw my heart into anything that I do, and my life is anything but perfect. I like to joke that I’m on a 20-something struggle bus, but every day I’m thankful for the many blessings that I have in this messy life.

Thank you so much for reading in this little space of mine, I am so grateful for you! Feel free to contact me at anytime. I’d love to hear from you!
